On October 25, 2018, within the framework of the international project “Court, citizens, society, state: cooperation for change”, a meeting was held between the project expert, judge of Amsterdam District Court, member of the board of the Netherlands Foundation: “Judges for judges”, expert of the European Center for training judges Esther De Roy, project coordinator, judge of Ochakivsky City District Court of Mykolaiv region, Tetyana Shevyrina and the chairman of the Supreme Court, Valentina Danishevska.
The event was also attended by Simon Van Der Schenck, adviser on the rule of law at the Regional Office of the European Union Advisory Mission in Odessa, Lina Gubar, head of the department of international legal interaction of the Supreme Court, and Artem Nikolaenko, a leading consultant of this department.
During the meeting, the project expert, Esther De Roy introduced the participants to the main goal of the project, which was initiated by Odessa region Appellate Court and the activities of the project’s work group on the introduction of unified standards for the implementation of court proceedings in the selected pilot courts of Odessa region.
At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their views on further cooperation.
